The FWT season opener has been confirmed for this Sunday, January 29, with the weather and snow conditions looking optimal for riders to charge their hardest. The Pyrenees has seen a lot of storm activity of late, and consistent polar air has driven snowfall to lower altitudes. This has ensured the venue is ready for competition and, with light winds and a mix of sun and clouds forecast for Sunday, FWT organizers have given the green light for FWT23 to begin.

Competition-hungry athletes have been shredding the mountain in the lead up to the event, exploring the varied freeride terrain the region has to offer. Returning world champions Maxime Chabloz, Jessica Hotter and Tiphanie Perrotin will surely fight hard to retain their titles. And be sure to keep an eye on the strong local contingent, including Aymar Navarro, Abel Moga and event wildcard Elisabet Marina.

Live coverage starts at 12:20 CET and you can watch the competition according to the following program:

12:30 – snowboard women

13:00 – snowboard men

13:45 – ski women

14:30 – ski men
